Christy Turlington has become world-renowned as the face for Calvin Klein fragrances since 1987. She has also worked on various campaigns for Maybelline Cosmetic and Giorgio Armani and has appeared in several films about the fashion industry. She is also active for organizations like V-Day, Cancer Cares, Camp Okizu, UNICEF and innumerable grass roots groups around the world as well as her own anti-smoking campaign.

John G. Campi
Vice President Promotion & Community Affairs for the Daily News

John G. Campi, Vice President of Promotion & Community Affairs for the New York Daily News, is responsible for a large number of activities that promote the newspaper in the community. He has been the guiding force behind many innovative events. The 1986 Daily News Great Blimp Race was one of the best known Daily News promotions under his leadership. A 44-year veteran of the Daily News, Mr. Campi held a number of advertising sales and management positions before being named to his present post.

Tom Freston
Television Executive

Thomas E. Freston most recently served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Viacom. He was one of the founding members of MTV: Music Television, and as the head of marketing, created the "I want my MTV" ad campaign. Mr. Freston became the CEO of MTV Networks in 1987, and is credited with launching many innovative programs such as The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, Behind the Music, The Real World, and Total Request Live.

Quincy Jones
Music Impresario, Record Producer, Film Composer

During 50 years in the entertainment industry Quincy Jones' work has earned him more than 70 Grammy Award nominations and 26 awards, more than 25 Grammy Awards, seven Oscar nominations and a Grammy Legends Award in 1991. He is best known as the producer of two of the top-selling records of all time: the album Thriller, by pop icon Michael Jackson, and the charity song "We Are the World". In 1993, Quincy Jones and David Salzman staged the concert spectacular "An American Reunion" to celebrate the inauguration of President Bill Clinton. Consecutively, the two impresarios formed partnership called Quincy Jones/David Salzman Entertainment (QDE). a co-venture with Time-Warner, Inc. The company encompasses multi-media programming, including theatrical motion pictures and television. QDE also publishes Vibe magazine and produced the popular NBC-TV series Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Jones also runs his own record label, Qwest Records and is Chairman and CEO of Qwest Broadcasting, one of the largest minority-owned broadcasting companies in the United States.

Milton Moskowitz
Journalist and Author

Milton Moskowitz is a renowned journalist and author, whose special expertise is corporate social responsibility (real and imagined). Furthermore he is the co-developer of the annual list, "The 100 Best Companies to Work for in America".

Todd Oldham
Fashion and Interior Designer

Todd hosted a segment call Todd Time on MTV's House of Style in the 1990s. He produced a clothing line associated with the Warner Brothers Batman Forever. Oldham currently designs furniture and home accessories for the La-Z-Boy Furniture company and is also active in designing luxury boutique hotels in South Beach.

Nancy Ploeger
Executive Director, Manhattan Chamber of Commerce

Nancy Ploeger spearheaded the growth of the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce from 250-1500 members and instituted many seminars and economic development activities, legislative initiatives and benefits for members. In addition, Ms. Ploeger developed and oversees the MCC Community Benefit Fund (CBF) and the Manhattan Chamber of Commerce Foundation. The CBF has granted over $2.0 million to the non-profit community on Manhattan's upper eastside. The Foundation is a non-profit educational organization designed to help Manhattan based businesses.

Howard J. Rubenstein
President, Rubenstein Associates, Inc.

Howard J. Rubenstein has presided over the agency which bears his name since he founded it in 1954. Today the firm is one of the nation's largest independent public relations agencies with a staff of about 170. He has served as a member of numerous civic and philanthropic organizations, and currently sits on the Executive Committee of the Association for a Better New York, which he helped to found. He is a trustee of the Police Athletic League, the Central Park Conservancy, the Inner City Scholarship Fund of the Archdiocese of New York, is a member of the City University of New York Business Leadership Council. He is vice-chairman of the N.Y.S.-N.Y.C. Holocaust Memorial Commission and is a special advisor to the N.Y.C. Commission on the Status of Women. He has served on the Mayor's Committee on Business & Economic Development for Mayors Beame, Dinkins and Giuliani, and is a member of the board of directors of the Center for Democracy in Washington, D.C. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he finished first in his class in the night school division at St. John's University School of Law, which has also awarded him an honorary doctor of law degree.

Susan Rudin
Philanthropist

Susan Rudin, wife of Jack Rudin, is renowned for her fervent philanthropic activities.
She is actively involved in a large variety of organizations, amongst others she is the Chair of the Lincoln Center Institute, an arts and education organization whose approach is based on aesthetic education and the writings of such innovators as John Dewey and Maxine Greene. Students learn about and through the arts by focusing on works of art, including performing and visual arts, and architecture. Furthermore, Susan and her family have focused much of their philanthropy on enhancing the quality of life for NYU students and city residents.

William C. Rudin

Chairman of Association for a Better New York

William Rudin is president of one of the largest and most respected privately held real estate entities in New York. William and his family have also had a long tradition of mixing business with politics and civic leadership. He embraces the spirit of public responsibility and has become a leader in many of the City's leading civic groups. Recently he was elected Chairman of The Association for a Better New York (ABNY). ABNY is a coalition of business, labor and political leaders created to help improve the quality of life for businesses, tourists and residents of New York. He also serves as Chairman of the Board for the Battery Conservancy; as a member of the Boards of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and New York University; Vice Chairman of the Real Estate Board of New York. In addition, he serves as Director or Board Member of many other institutions including: The New York City Marathon Committee, The First Tee, NYC 2012, The Real Estate Roundtable, NYU Downtown Hospital, and the Alliance for Downtown New York. Over the years, William has received numerous leadership awards.

Ravi Shankar
Composer and Musician

Ravi Shankar is a Bengali-Indian composer best known for his virtuosity on the sitar. Ravi is a world renowned Indian instrumentalist and is well known for his pioneering work in bringing the power and appeal of the Indian classical music tradition, as well as Indian music and its performers in general, to the West. This was done through his association with The Beatles (especially George Harrison) as well as with his own personal charisma. His musical career spans over six decades and Shankar currently holds the Guinness Record for the longest international career.

Steven Spinola
President of the Real Estate Board of New York

As the President of the Real Estate Board of New York, Steven Spinola serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Real Estate Industry's leading trade association. The Real Estate Board membership includes over twelve thousand ranking owners, developers, brokers and other institutions. The board is a vigorous advocate of policies to promote local economic growth, residential construction and rehabilitation. Prior to becoming president in June of 1986, Mr. Spinola served as President of the New York City Public Development Corporation, the municipal government's principal institute for spurring large-scale commercial and industrial development and rehabilitation programs in New York.

Scott Stringer
Manhattan Borough President

Scott Stringer is a New York Democratic politician and the current Borough President of Manhattan. He graduated from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. In 1983, Scott Stringer became a legislative assistant to Assemblyman, and future Congressman, Jerold Nadler. From 1992 till his Borough Presidency in 2006 he served on the New York Assembly and was Chairman of amongst others the Real Property Taxation Committee and the Cities Committee. During his first year in office as the Manhattan Borough President he helped breathe new life into Manhattan's Community Boards, ensuring that every neighborhood will have a strong voice in decisions that impact local resident's lives.

Dennis Swanson
Fox Television President of Station Operations

Dennis Swanson manages 35 FOX owned-and-operated stations across the US, including WNYW-TV and WWOR-TV in New York; KTTV-TV and KCOP-TV in Los Angeles; WFLD-TV and WPWR-TV in Chicago; WTXF-TV in Philadelphia; WFXT-TV in Boston; and WTTG-TV in Washington, D.C. Before joining Fox Television Stations Inc., Mr. Swanson was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Viacom Television Stations Inc., where he oversaw operations of the division's television stations. He previously served as president and general manager of WNBC-TV in New York, and was president of ABC Sports from 1986-1996.

Now residing in Japan, she is the author of two books: A Winter Concert, a children's book written and illustrated by her, and The Mouse House, written by Rumer Godden and illustrated by her. A Winter Concert is published by Millbrook Press in the U.S., and continues to be a great source of inspiration to the September Concert.
