The Heart of Jazz is the place where the jazz community of New York gathers yearly to play the heartbreak of 9/11, its aftermath and our need to look forward with peace for humanity, through the music. A specific note played can create a universal healing. By turns profound and joyous, it is always swinging.
The amazing dancers from National Dance Institute that stole people\\\'s hearts last year will be back again this year. Close to 25 children will perform pieces from their \\\"Imagine\\\" repertoire celebrating John Lennon\\\'s music and much more at Rockefeller Plaza at 5pm. Be sure to come by and watch their brilliance! Afterwards, walk across the street to St. Patrick\\\'s for a 7 pm concert and maybe even to a dinner reception following at the UN Delegates Dining Room.

Next September 11th at 6.30pm, The Gabarron Foundation-Carriage House Center for the Arts in loving memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks in New York on September 11th 2001, has organized a recital by Spanish violinist Laura Esnaola and other musicians. The concert includes composition for violin such as Bach’ s Chaconne and Mozart’ s Dissonant Quartet. Free access.
