100 dancers to present TABLE OF SILENCE, a public tribute to

9/11 and prayer for peace

Sept. 11,  8:20 AM ending at 8:46 AM - Josie Robertson Plaza at Lincoln Center

Table of SilenceA poetic call for tolerance and peace through silence, music, and movement, by acclaimed choreographer Jacqulyn Buglisi.

Dancers will come from different directions in a procession to form a labyrinth of peace, symbolizing eternity, purity and the continuous life cycle. Each dancer will embrace a single terracotta plate. The plates represent a symbolic banquet table uniting humanity, where silence is needed for dialog, the idea created by artist Rosella Vasta.

Presented by the NY dance community - Buglisi Dance Theatre, Steps on Broadway, Alvin Ailey School, The Martha Graham Center, The Juilliard School, National Dance Institute, Ballet Hispanico, STEPS on Broadway, and Peridance Capezio Center, and the audience are invited to join them.

In partnership with Dance/NYC and The September Concert Foundation.
